Copper Production
Trigon resumed operations at the historic Kombat Mine after a 14-year closure. Starting with the open pit, the company achieved commercial production in 2023. This milestone was followed by the initiation of underground mining in February 2024, with commercial production achieved in April 2024, integrating higher-grade ore recovery into the mill.
In a strategic move to enhance its copper portfolio and exploration potential, the company has expanded its mineral resource through the acquisition of the Copper King Extension, a licence that comprises over 35 kilometres of strike length surrounding the Kombat Mine. Trigon also holds the Kalahari Copperbelt Project in Namibia, an extensive land package covering over 280 kilometres along the Kalahari Copper Belt, renowned for hosting world-class Cu-Ag deposits, bordered by industry giants Sandfire Resources and Rio Tinto.
